I experienced the same issues as The_Def_J where the reboot took a very long time except mine said it was cleaning up and not to power off. Disk Cleanup Server 2012 R2 Should have just not even bothered adding support for this to Server 2008 R2 as it requires a reboot and addition of Desktop Experience.
